Lake Street Dive Make Daytime Television Debut on Ellen

Lake Street Dive’s third studio album Bad Self Portraits has earned the band high praise.  Rolling Stone even recently had the Motown-influenced poppers on their list of “10 Artists You Need to Know.”

Lake Street Dive—so named for a neighborhood (with many dive bard) in trumpeter/guitarist Mike “McDuck” Olsen’s hometown of Minneapolis—was also featured on Ellen this week, where the quartet performed the track “You Go Down Smooth.”

Host Ellen DeGeneres was notably excited to have Lake Street Dive make their daytime television debut, and you can see why in the clip below.
