Although Kenny Chesney has wrapped his Sun City Carnival tour and plans to take this summer off, millions of fans can still experience the magic and thrills of his high energy performance, this time up close and as never seen before in Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D.
The 3D footage for the movie was shot over six nights in five locations — Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Foxboro, and Indianapolis — using a total of 22 3D camera rigs.
“It was an amazing — and at times scary — experience to have cameras that close, in the air, in a blimp… cause they’re everywhere,” said Chesney. “But when you see what this film captures… well, even for me, who’s in the eye of the storm, I was taken aback! It has all the energy, all the thrills and even better focus on some of the most rocking nights I can imagine. If you see this, you’ve seen me in a way I’ve never been seen…”
Those rocking nights often include Chesney performing with his Fender Road Worn 50′s Stratocaster, while his band members Clayton Mitchell and Nick Hoffman used multiple Fender guitars.
The movie hits theaters nationwide for a limited engagement beginning April 21. Since that happens to be tomorrow, we suggest you get your tickets now!
