Interpol is Back with New Music & New Members

Interpol is back on the road after a two-year hiatus and in addition to playing new tunes (their self-titled album is due out Sept. 13), the New York rockers have picked up a pair of new band members in Brandon Curtis and David Pajo.

Pajo, the former guitarist for Slint, has worked with a variety of artists including Tortoise, Will Oldham, Zwan and the Yeah, Yeah Yeahs. The Fender-wielding artist has also released solo recordings as Papa M and Aerial M.

Here’s what Spin had to say about Interpol’s newest instrumentalists:

“Pajo and Curtis held their end admirably. Pajo’s thick, rich bass tone anchored tracks like ‘Obstacle 1.’ Later, as he plucked the rumbling low end on ‘NYC,’ from the band’s debut Turn on the Bright Lights, the venue reverberated as the band’s lush, layered sound swelled…”
