With an upcoming tour in support of Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Los Angeles-based indie rock outfit Infantree is pretty fired up. And rightfully so.
They expressed their excitement during their opening set at the Panhandle stage at San Francisco’s Outside Lands music festival on Sunday, offering up their adulations for the venerable rock godfather’s set on Friday night at Golden Gate Park.
Unfortunately, the guys couldn’t make it, as they had just flown in on Saturday after wrapping up their own tour, during which they appeared on Conan to play “Fibber” off their 2012 album Hero’s Dose.
“Fibber” was just one of the catchy tunes to make their Sunday setlist, which also included new songs like “What You Wanna Do,” “Should” and the spacey “Here Goes Nothing.”
For those looking to see a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in Young this fall, it would be a prudent idea to get there early.
Infantree will be ready and waiting.
