Introducing the Kingman™ Bass SCE
![]() The Kingman Bass SCE. |
Fender has issued a handful of acclaimed acoustic basses in recent years, all with the traditional two-on-each-side tuner scheme on the headstock. What immediately distinguishes the Kingman Bass SCE, however, is its Fender Jazz Bass® neck and headstock.
Jazz basses are well known for their slim necks, which easily facilitate fast, articulate playing, and the all-on-one-side tuner configuration has been a Fender hallmark ever since the Telecaster® guitar debuted in 1950. The natural-finish Kingman Bass SCE is the first Fender acoustic bass model to incorporate both.
Other features include a single cutaway that allows easy access to the upper frets, special “X” bracing, solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge with compensated saddles, Fishman® Aero™ active onboard preamp with tuner and tone controls, block fingerboard inlays, aged fingerboard binding, checkerboard rosette and vintage-inspired gold pickguard.
