Guitar World Magazine Celebrates 60 Years of The Fender Telecaster

Guitar World commemorated 2011′s 60th anniversary of the Fender Telecaster with an all-out Tele-bration feature story inside its January issue.

The 11-page article included exhaustive historical data, absorbing narrative and eye-catching images that any Tele enthusiast will want to read.

Guitar World also gave its own opinion on the 60-year-old invention, calling it “the electric guitar that revolutionized the industry.”

“The classic and pragmatic simplicity of the Telecaster design lies at the heart of its suitability to just about any style and genre,” reported the magazine.

Guitar World also list a series of conspicuous Tele-wielders, ranging from country icons Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings to Brit-rockers Jeff Beck and George Harrison.

As an added feature, the issue includes a pull-out centerfold poster of Tele aficionado and Fender signature artist John 5, displaying his massive collection of rare Telecasters.
