As the 60th Anniversary of the Fender Telecaster comes to a close with the New Year, we’ve posted our second montage video featuring some of music’s most esteemed Tele players.
“The great thing about the Telecaster is that Leo Fender, whether by design or by accident, found the perfect combination for full, dynamic tone,” said Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel.
“For hundreds of years now, people are going to look back at Fender, the Fender logo, the Fender guitar, all the people that ran it long after Leo’s gone, after all that’s over, centuries from now, people are going to look back at this and say, ‘Oh yeah, I know what that means,’” the Monkees’ Mike Nesmith said. ”It’s amazing how this thing has insinuated itself into the social consciousness.”
