With a new album – The Lion The Beast The Beat – due out June 12, there’s a lot to be excited about if you’re a Grace Potter and The Nocturnals fan.

Not the least of which is the fact that the rockers have a full slate of tour dates to support the upcoming album in the coming year.

On Saturday at Coachella’s Outdoor Stage, they showed why they’re one of the best live bands in the business.

Potter ripped through a set filled with a few new tunes – including The Lion’s title track - and fan favorites like “Paris (Oh La La)” and “Medicine,” which served as a fiery closer.

The biggest highlight for fans of new Potter music was The Lion’s lead single, “Never Go Back.”

It was played second in the set, but the Dan Auerbach (the Black Keys) co-written number is both upbeat and bluesy, utilizing Potter’s vocal prowess and a groovy bass line.

After the show, it was enough to make anyone check Potter’s official website to check when they can see her next.
