Girls Who Rock Concert Supports Girls' Education in the Developing World

Over the weekend, New York City’s Grammercy Theatre witnessed a wildly successful concert put on by Girls Who Rock.

The annual Girls Who Rock benefit concert aims to advocate and raise funds for girls’ education worldwide by bringing music’s strongest performers together on one stage. Proceeds support She’s The First, a not-for-profit organization that sponsors girls’ education in the developing world.

Among this year’s headliners was JoJo, who surprised the crowds with the world premiere of her new title track, “Jumping Trains.” Other performers included recording artists Nina Sky, Nikkie Jean and Eddy.

Take a look at video below for an inside look of the weekend’s smash-hit concert, which doubled last year’s effort by raising over $12,000.  But the campaign isn’t over yet; Girls Who Rock and She’s The First are looking to raise an additional $5000 to add to the grand total, and you can help by donating via this website.
