In a surprise move, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and his wife Gwen Stefani performed together during his KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas set on Saturday night.
Sans bandmates, Rossdale sang the first verse to “Glycerine” with Stefani walking onstage unannounced for the second first. The couple first met in the dressing room at the annual KROQ event 17 years ago.
“She actually asked me about this and I was so surprised, I didn’t say anything for two days,” Rossdale told Rolling Stone after the show. “She said, ‘Maybe we should do a song together.’ And I couldn’t answer her.”
