Foo Fighters Rock SXSW

The Foo Fighters rocked SXSW last night with a “secret gig” at Stubb’s.

“What we like to do in these kind of situations is play the new record,” Dave Grohl told the audience to open the set. “Would you like to hear the new record?”

Although the Foos didn’t have the evening to themselves — Grohl noted in fact that they had hijacked the set — he delivered on his offer.  The Foos wasted little time with idle chatter, instead blazing through their forthcoming Wasting Light album in its entirety, plus a mini-greatest hits section featuring “One by One,” “Monkey Wrench,” “Times Like These” and “Everlong” during a 100-minute set. ”

Prior to the set, the Foo Fighters had been at the premier for their new documentary film Back and Forth.

If anyone was there and you got photos, check out our SXSW Photo Contest for chance to win a Nikon camera!!
