In order to help celebrate the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s 75th anniversary on June 12, 2014, Fender will come together with some of the biggest acts in music, film, television and baseball.
The 2014 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Cooperstown, N.Y., with a live event of epic proportions.
Jeff Idelson, president of the National Baseball Hall Of Fame and Museum, said, “We are so pleased that LGH19 Productions has chosen to produce a live event from Cooperstown next August, which will benefit the Hall of Fame and help honor its 75th year. Cooperstown is renowned for baseball. This event will allow music, movie and baseball fans to come together tocelebrate in Cooperstown, just days after the 2014 induction ceremony.”
To announce the event, Robert Whul provided emcee duties and called people like longtime MLB manager Tommy Lasorda and Fender director of entertainment marketing Del Breckenfeld to the podium to discuss the marriage between each group.
Breckenfeld, who grew up a Chicago Cubs fan, cited players who are avid musicians like Cincinnati Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo and New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams when talking about the limited-edition 75th anniversary Baseball Hall of Fame Stratocasters that are being produced.
“Even if they don’t go on to be a professional musician, it’s still the fun of playing music,” Breckenfeld noted.
