Fender at Tokyo Guitar Show® 2009

Fender made a big noise at the Tokyo Guitar Show, June 27-28 in the heart of the bustling Japanese metropolis.

About 4,000 guitar and bass lovers converged on TFT Hall in Tokyo’s entertainment-rich Bayshore district to hear live music, attend instrument and amp clinics and experience new Fender gear at the weekend-long show.

For the massive event, co-sponsored by Fender and its longtime distributor in Japan, Yamano Music Co. Ltd., Fender sent U.S. emissaries Justin Norvell (director, electric guitars), Shane Nicholas (marketing manager, guitar amps), Mike Eldred (Custom Shop director) and Mark Kendrick (Fender Custom Shop Senior Master Builder), all of whom held clinics, talked shop, did a press junket of a dozen magazine interviews, and just played and hung with fellow Fender lovers across the Pacific.

Quite a weekend, all in all—just look at the photos …
