Ernie Isley Lends a Hand to Farm Aid

Guitarist Ernie Isley, formerly of the Isley Brothers, brought his own brand of soul, funk and R&B to the 2009 Farm Aid concert, held this year in St. Louis on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Isley reportedly played his Custom Shop built Stratocaster® behind his back and with his teeth during his performance, which you can see in action in the video below.

Willie Nelson (shown above with Isley), Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land. Dave Matthews joined the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001. Farm Aid has raised nearly $35 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture.
