All he needed was a mic…
At one of the most-exclusive pre-Grammy parties in Los Angeles, “The Wammys”, thenewno2 frontman Dhani Harrison took over the proceedings at Saint Nick’s in West Hollywood, belting out a solid rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” as a packed crowd looked on enthusiastically.
The Fender-sponsored event, which was also hosted by Harrison’s Hot Records West label and Big Hassle, brought together many of the top dogs in the music industry, including Mumford and Sons (who won a Grammy the next night), Rancid’s Tim Armstrong (another Grammy winner), My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Ben Harper, Regina Spektor, Dawes, “Weird” Al Yankovic, legendary skateboarder Tony Alva, Chris Pontius of Jackass fame and many, many more.
With the bar at capacity and the karaoke DJ holding a hefty waiting list, the Saint Nick’s party went well into the night.
