Delta Spirit's Matt Vasquez Performs "Trashcan"

See down below for an exclusive Fender Vision performance by Delta Spirit frontman Matt Vasquez of “Trashcan” off their debut full-length album Ode to Sunshine. When played live as a band, the indie rockers are known for incorporating trash can lids into their act, but here we get a stripped down acoustic version.

According to their blog, the band will drop a new eponymous album on March 13 via Rounder Records. Produced by Chris Coady, the album was recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios — a converted church built in 1896 in Woodstock, N.Y.

“We found the sound that we’ve been looking for, that we’ve been growing into, and as soon as we hit on it, we ran with it,” said Vasquez of their latest effort. “That’s why it’s a self-titled record, so we could connect our identity with what we think Delta Spirit is.”
