Billy Corgan took to YouTube to announce the Smashing Pumpkins Record Club (SPRC), which will roll out Pumpkins’ rarities online. In exchange for an email address, the SPRC is offering a free download of a demo version of 1992 track “Drown.”
On the new smashingpumpkins.com splash page, there’s also a “secret” download of a nearly instrumental 2-track demo of “Geek U.S.A.” Mouse around to find it!
Corgan also says that Oceania will most likely be released in November, and that the band will premiere new tunes on their fall tour, which gets under way on October 5 in Los Angeles.
“I’m halfway through the singing at least,” he said of the recording process. “I’ve got maybe five more songs to go on the singing, so we’re getting pretty close. We start mixing September 1.”
