Over the weekend, the tragic news of Adam Yauch – or MCA of the Beastie Boys – succumbing to cancer swept the music world.
Tributes abounded, and Coldplay threw their support behind the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Famers in a show at the Hollywood Bowl last Friday.
Frontman Chris Martin offered a touching version of the typically-banging “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party).”
Martin’s final line went thusly: “And so we’re sending all our lovin’ to the Beastie Boys!”
An emotion moment, indeed.
