CNET Names Fender Premium Audio "Best-Sounding Car Stereo" of 2011

CNET.com, a leading technology review website, named the Fender Premium Audio system inside the Volkswagen 2012 Beetle the “Best-Sounding Car Stereo” of 2011.

“The system’s excellent sound and its unbeatable price made the premium product this year’s winner,” explained the editors of CNET.

“We’re extremely proud to receive such a prestigious award,” said Fender’s Business Development Manager Brian Tedeschi. “This was Fender’s inaugural foray into professional automotive audio, and to have bested the likes of the world’s most established automotive audio manufacturers is a tremendous accomplishment.”

The Fender Premium Audio System, consisting of nine speakers and 400 watts of power, produces Fender’s classic sound highlighted by uncompromised clarity at low or high volumes, powerful bass response and detailed midrange tones that combine to recreate the raw emotion of a live performance. The system, encompassing three years of research, was developed hand-in-hand with Volkswagen. From its inception, the Fender Premium Audio System was embedded in each vehicle’s interior design, thus customizing the sound and allowing Volkswagen consumers to enjoy this unique experience each time they drive their vehicles.
