CMT Music Award Winners & Performances

Former American Idol champion and country superstar Carrie Underwood enjoyed a big night at Nashville’s CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, taking home the show’s top honor, Video of the Year, for “See You Again.” It marked the fifth time Underwood won the award and her third win in a row.

Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad” duet partner, Miranda Lambert, won Female Video of the Year for “Automatic.” The Male Video of the Year category went to her husband Blake Shelton for “Doin’ What She Likes.”

Other winners included Florida Georgia Line (Duo of the Year), Cassadee Pope (Breakthrough Video of the Year) and the Band Perry (Group Video of the Year).

Hosted by actress Kristen Bell, the evening also included numerous performance such as Little Big Town’s festive “Day Drinking” and Keith Urban’s stripped down take on “Cop Car,” which he performed remotely from the Music City’s famous Bluebird Cafe.
