Last Thursday, Fender signature artist Buddy Miller cleaned house at the Ryman Auditorium during the 2009 Americana Music Conference and Awards, winning Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Written In Chalk, with wife Julie Miller), Duo/Group of the Year (again with wife Julie), and Song of the Year (“Chalk,” written by his wife and performed by Buddy and Patty Griffin).
Here’s a link to the AMA’s web site announcing the rest of the 2009 awards winners.
Miller (seen below, photo credit: Erika Goldring) also led the house band for the Awards, something he does every year in his role as “musical director” for the award show. Buddy was featured performing on his Chris Fleming built Fender® Telecaster® Custom along with his ‘57 Tweed Twin Amp and Tweed Fender Reverb unit.
