Bruce Springsteen addressed the state and fate of the music industry to a packed-house during his SXSW keynote speech on Thursday at Austin’s Convention Center. The nearly hour-long speech covered a lot of ground, including his own personal music journey and a heavy dose of encouragement to embrace all diverse genres of music despite its uncertain future.
The Boss also had some sage advice for his captive audience of aspiring musicians.
“Young musicians, learn to bring it live and bring it home, night after night after night,” he said. “Your audience will remember you.”
