Britpop legends Blur closed out the Brit Awards at London’s O2 Arena last night with a five-song set.
The quartet also picked up this year’s award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, an accolade that is given out only when an artist is deemed deserving. Previous recipients include David Bowie, Paul McCartney and Queen.
“The last time we were here was 17 years ago and what happened on that night (the band broke records by winning four awards) had a very profound effect on our lives,” frontman Damon Albarn told the crowd during his acceptance speech.
After thanking a long list of people, Blur kicked off their set with “Girls & Boys,” followed by “Song 2,” “Parklife,” and “Tender” before closing with “This Is a Low.”
