Band of Skulls Drop New Video, Album In Works

Keep an eye out in early 2012 for a new album – yet to be titled – from England’s Band of Skulls, who just signed with Vagrant Records for this much-anticipated follow-up to acclaimed Baby Darling Doll Face Honey.

For now, though, fans of the alt-rockers can get a taste of what’s to come with their newest single, “The Devil Takes Care of His Own.”

As Russell Marsden wields a Gretsch guitar, Emma Richardson keeps the beat on a Fender bass and drummer Matt Hayward offers a thumping staccato, “The Devil” puts the listener right inside the garage with the trio.

In the official video (below), things go from tame to action-packed with a kung-fu fight reminiscent of Bruce Lee taking out a cadre of attackers.

Band of Skulls have been lauded for their live performances by the likes of Spin and Rolling Stone in the past, but if this is going to be what their shows are like moving forward, fans are in store for some action.

“The Devil Takes Care Of His Own” will be available on Dec. 6 as a download at iTunes and other digital download stores.
