Alkaline Trio sold out the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Ariz., last night, opening the set with their new album’s title track “This Addiction.” About 90 minutes later, the punk rockers closed out the performance with a cover of Misfits’ “Skulls” and then mightily pleased the packed house by playing “97,” the finale to their 2000 self-titled album.
Earlier during the band’s sound check, Fender’s Michael Schulz dropped off a new American Deluxe Precision Bass to Dan Andriano for a trial run. The vocalist/bassist wound up playing it throughout the entire set, and then ordered a second one today.
His new basses can expect some wear and tear this summer as Alkaline Trio confirmed their addition to the 2010 Warped Tour earlier this week. Get ticket information here.
But, don’t wait until summer to check out these guys! Pick up their new CD This Addiction here.
