60th Anniversary Tele Notes & Trivia: 1977

Regular, Custom and Deluxe Telecasters appear this year bearing a slight variation on an unusual finish not seen since Fender’s short-lived Coronado guitars of the late 1960s. The revival of this greenish-sunburst finish is brief, and also polarizing—players either love it or, well, they don’t.

Answer: Antigua Telecasters
