I received this guitar a while back and decided to really put it through it's paces before I reviewed it. I've used it on recordings and live situations and it performed excellently. It has a nice solid feel and playable neck and action. The tone is classic Telecaster with the added warmth of a humbucker. Off the bat you have three different tones at your disposal, before any knob tweaking. Just flick the three-position toggle switch and you can go from beefy humbucker, punchy single coil bridge pick up, or a blend of both in the middle. I find it to be quite a versatile instrument.
I got this guitar for two reasons: I'm a huge fan of Telecasters and I didn't have the budget for an expensive American-made version. I'm not comparing the two by any means, but for the money I think you get one hell of a guitar that I have no qualms using in any situation, including professional. Another thing you can always do is customize, modify, or whatever and still have a great value. The only thing I did was change the strings to a different brand, but that's just a personal preference that has nothing to do with the guitar. Don't worry about the name on the headstock, it doesn't matter. It's still made by Fender.

I bought this guitar new for around $300 and I love it. It looks absolutely awesome and for the price it is a great find. The neck feels smooth and fast. The bridge pickup is punchy and the Fender wide range humbucker mellow. This is my first Fender product and it is miles ahead of my old wal-mart junk. Also it stays in tune perfectly really I would buy this completely just for the looks. Great buy, I would recommend this guitar for sure.
I bought my first Telecaster in the 1970's and loved it a lot. I unfortunately sold it many years ago & always wanted to replace it. I bought this as homage to one of favourite guitarists (Mick Green - The Pirates) and it is fantastic. The build quality is amazing at the price, it looks gorgeous and plays beautifully - I take it with me when I'm working away from home and spend hours and hours enjoying playing it. Well done Squier on such a brilliant instrument.
