I own quite a few guitars by various big names but my Baja is still the go to guitar. I'm only a home player and this guitar does it all for me. when I was looking for a tele I tried quite a few models. I had a go of a couple of baja's which felt quite different and the weight difference was very noticeable. I ended up buying one online, which I had at a great price due to it being B stock because of a small flaw in the paintwork. when I first received the guitar I very nearly called the shop to take it back as it sounded awful. After much twiddling and fiddling I had the setup spot on and haven't needed to do anything again. I have owned my Baja for about 4 years and will never sell.

The best guitar I own or have owned. Stupidly versatile- able to get straty tones from the twisted Tele at the neck, gritty twangy tones from the Broadcaster bridge and lots of others from the 4 way and s1 switching. The neck is chunky and a dream to play (though if you like a modern c shape it might not be for you). Build quality is excellent. The Baja has gone up since it was launched, but you can still pick these up for £560ish online which makes this the biggest bargain in the Fender range.
In my opinion, it's a better guitar than the US Standard or special and you'd need to go American Vintage or Custom Shop to buy a better guitar, and I personally think its more playable than some of the Vintage models.
Anyone considering a Tele with less than £1500 to spend should at least demo one.

This became my main guitar after buying and building 11 Teles prior to purchasing this one. Great features, build quality and looks. Can't say enough about this guitar for the price. I did a few mods and it is just hard to beat. There is plenty of growl, bite and twang and so many options that can mellow it out if need be. It actually caused my custom shop '51 Nocaster to see a lot of case time.

My main guitar, by far the best telecaster of this price range and better than many that cost more.

My main guitar. Bought for me as a gift and it just keeps on giving. Desert Sand. C neck. One of the early ones. Solid guitar with solid tone. Beautiful to look at and a dream to play.

I have owned this guitar in Butterscotch Blonde for 4 years now and I am still in the honeymoon period! I play mostly Country, with some Swing, Blues, Bluegrass and Swamp Rock. The Baja covers all the bases tone-wise and the super-comfy neck makes chicken pickin, strumming, bending all so easy it's as if the guitar is an extension of me. The only mod I have made was to install Schaller strap locks to protect my investment from an accidental drop...
I play in a semi-pro band and we play out 2 - 3 times a week and the Baja looks as good today as the day I bought it.

Maybe my all-time favorite neck on any Fender guitar - nice and full but not too large, with a soft "V" shape. The pickups are exceptional, with a Custom Vintage Broadcaster pickup at the bridge providing a brilliant snap to every note. For me, the Telecaster is Fender's most versatile instrument, and with the addition of a Series/Parallel positions and an out-of-phase switch, even more options are available to the artist.
Insanely versatile and beautiful guitar. I've had my Baja for about 2 years now and am still amazed every time i pick it up, it's looks, it's tone, it's playability. I was looking for a Springsteen-esque sound but boy does the Baja go above and beyond! The bridge is gritty and raw for Stones and Springsteen and the neck+tone roll off give sweet jazzy vibes for a sound not unlike a Hollow-body, the S-1 Switching just spoils you for choice. The 'soft v' neck has got to be the best neck i have ever played on any guitar, it is comfortable for endless hours, provides smooth bends and is the perfect radius. The '52 styling of the guitar gives it the perfect vintagey vibe whilst maintaining modern features such as the S1 pot, for the ridiculously low price it would be foolish not to buy one.

Had this guitar for over a year now and it is such a versatile instrument, from playing Open G for the Stones to standard tuning to open D, this guitar sounds and plays great in every tuning. It can be beefy or twangy depending upon your amp settings. Overall, I would highly recommend this guitar. Once it is set-up, it plays itself and feels like you're gliding your hands along a piece of godlike wood.
