I really loved this guitar. One of the few Fenders with Floyd rose. And it isn't a simple Floyd rose. It's the Floyd Rose Special, the best Floyd rose bridge ever. My first Fender, and it's really cool.

This is my personal fav guitar. I love the way fender put Floyd Rose on it, and a comfort fret board. I can play with a lot of style with the floyd rose, and I also can play a usual fender sound with the tone.
I am just wondering if the company would consider to design a thinner body on it, so most of all it can reduce the total weight of the guitar itself.
I bought this guitar from my local music store, brought it home and it was awesome for the first ten minutes. First the pickup selecter thing broke so I took it back the next day & they fixed it. Then the bridge got stuck somehow - it wouldnt budge - and I took it back again. They fixed it the next day but the same problems occur. Fender is the best guitar company in the world but this guitar had issues. And one more thing. the other blacktop strats are better.
I love this guitar. I didn't have a lot of money to spend, and I needed something with a Floyd Rose for the cover songs I perform, and after much research I landed on the Blacktop Strat with Floyd Rose. It was already a great price, but I bought with a $50.00 Fender Discount, so that made the price even more attractive. The pickups sound great when on full humbucker, and the coil split neck position is my go-to for clean playing, and light crunch. I find I don't use the other split coil position (bridge/neck split) at all as I don't find the tone that great, but I have no overall complaints about the tones I'm getting. My amp selection varies greatly and I haven't used an amp yet where this guitar sounds bad. The Floyd Rose, although a special model, is a step up from other FR Specials I've seen/used in the past. It's not as good a an OFR, but it does the trick. I will replace the block at some point with a bigger brass one, but it's not an immediate need. The only other thing I didn't care for, but knew about going into it, was the fact that the bridge is floating. I can't stand them. But, I added a trem block to it and it works wonderful. Nice and stable, and the guitar stays in tune just fine even when I get a little crazy with the arm. Overall, a damn fine guitar for not a lot of money. Just a great Rock & Roll machine!
