This one has a perfect neck and I like to feel neck in my palm... Also has perfect sound and it's a real strat. The workmanship is especially excellent, seems like custom shop guitars. I hardily recommend it for the musicians. ;)

This strat is probably the best feeling strat I've ever played. The contoured heel has got to be my favorite feature, along with the compound radius fretboard, but these two features combined make this guitar really, really easy and smooth to play. The v neck fits in my hand really well, as does the whammy bar; they're both very comfortable. It is a really heavy strat, which I love about it, but that's just me. The strap locks and case that it comes with are really handy.
It is probably the prettiest looking guitar I've ever seen, barring worn out and beat up strats. I'm hoping eventually it'll start wearing down but probably not very much, as it's not finished in Nitrocellulose but I'm not an expert on that.
The pickups are interesting... they always sound really good in my church and school and places but never as much in my room (I play through a Blues Junior III). I've found the S-1 switching to be kind of cool but it always makes everything sound really weird to me like a quacky out of phase hum bucker, but with the tone all the way down (even though both tone knobs are all the way up...?) anyways... I'm thinking of getting Fat 50's pickups but that depends. A superb guitar nonetheless. I highly recommend buying it.

I looked at this guitar for over a year before I bought it. Did I need a guitar of this quality...no, but it was worth every penny! Put on some new 10's, adjusted the bridge, and set the trem/vibrato. Wow, what a nice playing guitar. Of course I knew that the first time that I picked it up. No tuning issues - stays in tune no matter what I do! The V-neck has a great feel. The S-1 switch adds to the sound flexibility. Shared it with a close friend...he could not believe the difference between his older Orange "M&M" Strat. The American Deluxe is the real deal!

First, I am a professional guitarist. I have roughly 30 years invested into the art of playing the guitar. I've owned my "Deluxe V Neck" now for about a month and let me tell you, it's hard for me to put it down! Absolutely unbelievable for the price. Flawless finish and amazingly beautiful tone options with the N3 pups and the S1 switch. I had my eyes set on a Custom Deluxe two tone prior to purchasing the American Deluxe V Neck, but honestly, I thought this one played and sounded better! I couldn't see paying almost twice the amount for "prestige". This is the best American production "Strat" hands down. My wife said she would buy me a new "Custom Shop Strat" when i graduate from college. Between you and I, I'll probably just get a different color "Deluxe".

Since I was 15 I've always wanted to get one of the strats. I used to go to the local store and just stare at them, hoping that one day I will be able to afford one. When I turned 21 I decided it was the time. I've been looking for the right one for me and saw one wonderful youtube video. Staring there was this particular model and I fell in love immediately. When it came home to me it was a perfect match, it felt like we were made for each other. I love him (his name is Luke Anthony) more every single day and we are inseparable. In future I'll buy some more fender products for sure!

Always played with Les Paul, but after buying this guitar I spend more time with the Stratocaster! Very good playability, weight, great finish and most importantly a spectacular sound. A purchase inbativel same taxes in my country leaving the twice more expensive than in the U.S. Really very versatile! With the V-Neck finally I surrender to Stratocaster!

I was miffed when the AmDlx was originally released offering only the modern 'C' neck. I wrote to Bill, ]of blessed memoryI] and told him so. So wouldn't you know it that, no sooner had I got myself into a Custom Shop order for another guitar when the V-neck option was released. Bummer. Then comes the VG also with a modern 'C' neck. And wouldn't you know it, no sooner do I acquire an '89 Clapton, Guitar Center markets an FSR
AmDlx VG with a V-neck, in Antique Cherry Burst. Bummer, bummer. However, biding my time, I seized the opportunity when the VG's were closed out and followed a tip from a Forum member who had seen an Antique Cherry Burst in his travels. I managed to secure one at a very attractive price and couldn't be happier with all the aspects of the Dlx mated to the Roland electronics. The VG has been discussed at length in the Forums so no need to go to great lengths here. Demand will determine whether or not the second generation VG will be upgraded. I'm glad to have it in my stable. Wish I'd had it 50 years ago. That baritone voicing would have come in real handy.

I first fell in love when I felt the Soft V neck. Combined with the tinted maple fretboard and aged pickup covers and pick guard, it's one of the nicest looking Strats available in my opinion. But after I traded in my American Standard, I began to miss it. While I love the feel of the soft V neck, I'm not crazy about the way the fretboard flattens out. And I just can't get used to the slick chrome whammy bar - I miss the old one with the plastic knob on the end. Anyhow - I put on some 10's and the fretboard seemed much more playable up high. And the S1 switch is pretty cool for that quick kick once in awhile.

The V-neck deluxe strat has all the virtues from the old days and most of the benefits from modern production and lessons learned from the proffs

Simply the best playing Fender I have, Mine is a 2005 model and I think its better than the new ones. A fine guitar. Everything about it screams class. As a player, its versatile and copes with many types of music. A keeper, I have and have had many guitars, this ones staying in my collection.

My American Deluxe is a 2007 V Neck in two-tone sunburst. The neck shape has a great feel. The noiseless pickups have good punch and plenty of treble. It is a smooth playing versatile Strat. My only complaint after playing it for 5 years is the S1 switching. It is an older S1 version than on the the new ADVNs; I understand they made significant improvements. The S1 on my guitar gives it's best boost to the 2nd and 4th pickup switch positions, particularly with an Overdrive on low gain or a somewhat driven amp, but it can also be good on the neck pup with the treble rolled off. It really is a great guitar, to me a step up from the American Standard. This guitar could serve as the only Strat you will need.

I had an American Deluxe V Neck Strat for many years. Mine was Honey Blonde with a Copper pickguard from 2006. Visually, it was an eye catcher. The only thing I was never a fan of was the abalone position markers on a maple neck. They didn't really stand out much. Functionally, it was all Fender Strat and more! I loved the S-1 switching system to fatten up the pickups. It gave it almost a humbucker type sound. I also grew spoiled by the noiseless pickups, too. Having that V shaped neck was a nice change from the other Strats I owned. It was a neck that I never got any kind of fatigue from playing all night. Maybe not quite as bright in sound as an American Standard, but it was close enough. Overall, a great guitar, if just a bit pricey!
