I owned an Amer. Stan-Strat (1983 2-knob) for 30 yrs. Decided to upgrade to the deluxe series after a lot of research of all types of guitars, and this guitar blows my mind, and completely surpasses all aspects of my previous guitar. Had a hot-rail in previous guitar and this HSS setup with the real hum-bucker is completely mind boggling in conjunction with the S-1 switching the sound and recording options are endless! Everything about this guitar is unreal, from fit and finish, to well just everything, WOW!!!

This guitar has it all - looks, feel, playability, sound - incredible! The amber finish/maple fingerboard combo is stunning to look at, and the pickups provide all the tonal variations one could possibly want. I find it hard to put down - this is the one guitar I own that makes me a better player!

This guitar is so versatile. It plays fantastic, sounds amazing and looks great doing it. The hardware is top notch & the finish throughout is perfect. I get compliments on this guitar when I open the awesome case it came in & when I play it. This guitar will be passed down to my son some day for sure. But I'm going to play the hell out of it until that time!

Can't say enough about this guitar. Have had it a few months and have still not been able to explore all its capabilities and sounds!

I started playing guitar with a Squire Bullet Stratocaster HSS. I liked it very much, but the build quality was basically "you get what you pay for". I wanted something that felt better in my hands, had better sound, but still the same style. The American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS fit the bill. I am VERY happy with this guitar. Other than putting Elixer Nanoweb light/heavy strings on it, I have not changed anything. It is very easy to set up and it maintains it's tune quite well. Since I am not an expert, please take my review with that in mind. However, my instructor loves this guitar and keeps telling me how nice it is.

I love nice guitars, I have a collection of 17 including a Les Paul Custom and a Les Paul The Paul, and while I love them all for individual reasons the Strat is the Ferrari. It is functional, nothing is just for aesthetics every thing delivers. The LSR nut is an improvement that allows mindblowing bends thoughout the range of the neck, effortlessly. The locking offset tuners, flawless in their simplicity and functionality, Tuning stays even when applying some abusive tremelo. Easy to set up and she stays set up, Saddles and bridge are clearly a part of the package. The wiring and SW1 switching coupled with (On Mine which is an 08) Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups equal wonderful tonal range and little to no hum. I live in an older poorly grounded home and I can tell you the difference is immediately noticeable. This is why like I say in the title that this instrument is like a Ferrari, she is built...no crafted with love, for the driver, the player to enjoy and the exhilaration is worth every cent . The Humbucker...well that was just being greedy and a Strat purist my not love the idea, but I do, and its just evil !!! HSS or SSS You pick up a Strat Deluxe you wont want to put it down.

All the features do make this a deluxe stratocaster. The S-1 electronics provide additional useful tones. The humbucking pickups sound great. The desired stratocaster magic is there in the #2 & #4 pickup positions. The playability of the "modern c" compound radius neck is perfect for my hand. Finish was flawless. Floating tremolo (whammy bar) stays in tune. In the decades the stratocaster has been produced some were horrible, this one is a pleasure to own.

This guitar has the smoothest, fastest neck of any other guitar I own (Les Paul Special with '57 Classic pickups; Epiphone John Lennon Revolution Casino; Martin 0008EC; Takemine TSF48C "Santa Fe"). It also has the outrageous roller ball nut. The sound was also outstanding, but while I greatly enjoyed the tone of the neck pickup, the bridge Humbucker wasn't exactly what I was looking for. My guitar tech made some suggestions and we agreed to replace the pickups with 3 Lindy Fralin overwound Strat pickups in the standard configuration. We also changed the selector switch with a 3-way and wired the lower tone control to the bridge pickup.
The results of the mod made this a truly one of a kind Strat. It has a wonderful bell-like tone when clean, and great response to my Tube Screamer and Philosopher's Tone pedals. While I love all my guitars I play the Strat 80% of the time. My hands just seem to glide over the fretboard and I play faster and cleaner than ever before. Thank you Fender for a great music machine!

I got this about a year ago.
The white paint is outstanding and the workmanship is better than any other manufacturers I have ever tried or looked at.
With the S1 switching and the humbucker this guitar has ten settings and they are all unique and sound great.
I like this setting, then I like this one, then I like this one and it goes on an on.
This is model has to be one of the best guitars ever designed and built by Fender....I want a couple more.
I have played a lot of other manufacturers guitars and I have to say Fender is miles ahaed of their closest competitor and the rest of the industry in terms of overall quality.
The Paint, the sound, the fit, the technology, the shape of the neck, nobody does it like Fender.
Go try one ....
