I own a 1957 Stratocaster reissue, Telecaster F Hole and now a Concert Ukulele. I'm a very active player and have been since 1968. I have been in many different bands over the years, even opening big shows many times. I bought a Ukulele about (2) years ago but never did anything with it until about a month ago and played that Ukulele about a week. I walked into Guitar Center about (3) weeks ago to buy some strings and ended up
buying a Fender Concert Ukulele. I love it and have been playing it every day. I only wish I would have bought the electric version of this Ukulele. I would have never thought I could have so much fun playing something like this. It looks very cool sitting in between my other two Fender Guitars.

Bad lower bracing, glue seperated

(5.0)
thefuzzball on January 9, 2014 (updated January 10, 2014)

One of the braces on the top of the body or w/e you call it came loose, half the glue on the brace un-stuck and created an awful hissing the more i played. I brought to the store after 6 months and the guitar tech who was actually cool figured out the problem and is gonna inject some glue back in and clamp it n set it for me. They didn't charge me either which is cool since it doesn't fall under manufacture defect...i guess. I think it was the lack of humidity that caused the separation in the first place, though.

That aside, this uke looks and plays amazingly and I can't wait to get it back and play. I never thought id ever say this but you should get a little humidifier for this Koa uke. Unless you live in Hawaii you might have a similar problem with dryness. This is uke is soo nice though any other I see make me laugh at their inferiority.

The fretboard feels really nice too and the abalone inlay and the glossy finish are sexy, you cant help but play and make this beauty weep.

Little Music Box

This is my fourth ukulele. I am comparing it to my Lanikai koa wood uke, Same price range, same laminate wood, same strings. When it comes to tone, sustain, and playability, the Fender wins hands down. The bridge and compensated saddle are better quality, and look better on the Fender Nohea. The nut is very small, so there's no hand interference. The tuners are very smooth, and the Nylagut strings are standard on all of my ukes. So, we have a great player, right out of the box. Then you have the iconic Fender headstock, the abalone purfling, and the cream binding, top it off with a finish worthy of my (sorry) Les Paul guitar, she's a beauty!

As the ratings show, this ukulele is the best purchase I have ever made. Just everything about it is flawless. I was debating between Gibson Les Paul uke or the Fender Nohea uke, and I had many recommendations for Fender! Best decision of my life!

A Beautiful Uke!

(5.0)
PDMan on March 11, 2013
Semi-Professional Gospel Classic Rock Folk Country Bluegrass

At first glance, I was struck at just how pretty this uke is. The koa is stunning and the abalone-style inlay really sets off the grain in the wood. Now, looks aren't everything. It plays really well all the way up and down the neck. Good volume. And I really dig the Tele-style headstock. It's a keeper!
