More about Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12

I like this guitar for the body size (concert) it has very good volume and tone. The smaller body size makes it easier to play standing and the built in tuner is a useful addition. The finish is great, nut and saddle are decent quality and pickguard is tasteful. Admittedly the quirky inlays are not everyone's cup of tea but I didn't buy the guitar on the strength of its looks. It was playability with a nice low action and sound that sold me.

This guitar is amazing. I tried it out at a local store and I'm now saving to buy it soon. My only complaint is the fretboard inlays. Not every guitarist wants a guitar with skulls and crossbones. I'm almost 60 years old and yes I still love to jam with my guitar, but why is there an increasing number of instruments with skull designs these days? Lose the skull inlays or give people an affordable alternative since inlays are a nightmare to change. Other than that the sound on this 12 string is spectacular, nice and strong tone. I thought the 12 string would be difficult but it's not, it's fun to play.
