HANDS DOWN BEST BASS I'VE PLAYED

(5.0)

The mustang bass is the coolest bass that came out onto the market and has sadly discontinued but i don't never see myself discontinuing the use of this bass. I've been down a long road of experimenting and owning and selling gear and i must say this bass is a permanent piece of gear. From the short scale to the simplicity of the design to the rock solid tone to the quality of the hardware to the looks i couldn't be more happy! Growing up listening to grunge and nirvana being my favorite band for 12 years now i've hardcore become interested in the look of the mustang to the point where i built my own mustang and now that ive switched to being a bassist and within the last year an affordable mustang bass coming out i have found my golden ticket. The only things i would have liked to have seen in the bass is more color options and a rosewood neck. The hardware is quality, the bass always stays in tune, and its super easy to rip around on the neck. Running this bass through a rumble 350 is an apocalyptic adventure of sound. Another great product from a killer music company!

First I had my JB Geddy lee, a fantastic bass. After some time, I had some problems with my pulse, caused by working too much with computers. I love music and saw myself playing worse every day, suporting pain and making a lot of mistakes. My research got me into this bass, with a shortscale, and I resolved to get one. This was a great sollution for me, very confortable bass and this bridge is really cool. My mustang nowadays is modified, I have installed a JB pickup in bridge position and a PB in the place of the original pickup, to get me some more tone possibilities. I use this bass most part of my time and I love it!

Small Precision w/ Jazz Neck

I've waited a long time for this one. For the longest time you couldn't get a quality short scale bass, but this is it. I have modded and hot rodded mine to the hilt. Custom order pickup, pickguard, knobs, bridge cover. It was a good bass to begin with, but now, it's my "signature model." I would highly recommend this bass.

Mini Precision Bass

This one is some kind of reduced Precision Bass, close to the same tone and feel but smaller! The neck is just great, it has a jazz bass profile I think, really comfortable and fast playing. The Duncan Designed just made the job better than decent. I think that now a days Squier is just what you really need if you don't tour the world all year long but want something cool, that has the sound and feel, for a so affordable price. Love that bass!
(Just to compare, because I got these two, in front of the Mikey Way Mustang Bass, this vintage modified has a brighter sound, which is cool and complementary to the Way's huge bass frequency rumble. A great couple those two piece of sound!)

Been wanting a mustang Bass for a long time now. Mainly for the short scale design. With a lack of flexibility in my hands, mostly a result of hard work, not injury, the shorter scale allows me more comfort, movability and confidence in my playing. Lots of reasearch went into the choosing of this Bass Guitar, list after list of "pros and cons" of one model vs another. Not just Fender vs. Squier, competitor models as well. Searching online reviews, local store personnel and word of mouth.
Great instrument, great price, well balanced when strapped around my shoulders, color is perrty and the sound is great too. Very pleased with my purchase.
