I never thought I would ever own a Fender Amp, I have a Fender Precision Bass and a Fender Jazz Bass. But never an amp. After buying a Gibson Les Paul Traditional, I needed a Tube amp to keep up with it. My Marshall just didn't cut it. My cousin suggested a Fender Amp... I said really? So I went down to Long & McQuades and tried a few, the '65 Twin Reverb...The bandit and finally the Hot Rod Deville 410 III. It was just what I needed. A clean tube guitar amp with absolutely NO FRILLS! I have lots of effects and stompboxes but needed a versatile Clean Tube amp. Well, needless to say I immediately fell in love with this one. The tone, power, look, and sound were mesmerizing. My Les Paul sounds incredible plugged into the Hot Rod Deville 410 III. I recommend it to anyone who needs a powerful clean tube amp. I am now a believer. I don't regret this purchase and I would put it up against any clean tube amp on the market. Fantastic!!! I am converted an now own a Fender Amp... Thanks Fender... you changed my perception of your amps. Keep up the good work. Fender Rocks!!!

Hi. I just bought a 10 year old Deville 410 and I'm so satisfied. Especially because I got it cheap and not much used. The only objection I have is that in all specifications I have seen, including this homepage, it is claimed to weigh 23 kgs. The fact is that it weigh 29 kgs.
But since I love it so much I'll have to live with it.
Have a nice day.

In the mid to late 90s I saw a review of fender's new deluxe and deville amps in a guitar mag. I was immediately struck by how cool the name was. Those things are important right? Hot Rod DeVille! To the 18 year old me it sounded like the coolest amp ever. Flash forward to 2012, I've got less hair but more money so I was finally in the market for a decent amp. There was only really one choice.
The DeVille 410 looks great. A huge hunk of tolex and mesh. Straightforward, hot rod, chopped styling. But I won't go on about that. There are more important things.
The 410 sounds great. Clean sound is good. Plenty of cut with a nice solid middle. I play a tele and a 72 custom tele through it and they sound like they've made it home. The drive channel is where it comes alive. I've found that tracks I used to play clean, I'm now playing with a hint of drive, having the more drive channel means I can still kick it up a gear without resorting to effects.
3 micro moans now. I find the reverb a little full on, It's really quite spacey fairly low on the dial. Just a personal preference.
The amp is heavy. I hate it when I'm lugging it around but love it again as soon as it's plugged in.
It's loud. That sounds stupid, that's surely not a drawback. Maybe it isn't. I've never has my volume past 4 though and I'd love to hear it going full pelt.
Did I mention how good it looks? And that name!
