When the sound matters

I actually own the origianal 410 blues deville. I bought it back in 1994. I loved it so much on the gig the next day I bought another one. The amps remind me of the 59 bassman with more power and reverb. I was and still try to get a Clapton sound or tone. This amp has done it for me. It really comes to life if you turn it up. It just sounds great. Getting the tone set was a littley tricky for me at first for it seemed if you played louder the bass really came to life which is great, however one must be carefull not to blow up speakers though. I pretty much play Clapton strats so this amp has done me well. I also have an original 1956 strat that sounds excellent thru this amp as one would just expect. My gibsons sound equally great. Talking about a 74 Les Paul custom and a 1963 Gibson L-5 C.E.S. to just mention a few. These are my main amps I use on the gig. Unless there is just not enough room and a lot of time that is the case. That's where the baby brother blues deluxe comes in. I also own a 1966 Fender Princton Reverb and a 69 Dual Showman with JBL D -140's - another incredible amp but again the 410 Blues deville is still more practical for most of the gigs. When using the 2 devilles together, it's incredible just how clean it sounds for I get plenty of volume and hardly turn up the guitars. I usually keep the amp volume on 5 which gives my guitars plenty of head room. The overdrive channel is kinda lame sounding but once in a while for a tone variance it works just fine. Again I can only hope the reissue lives up to its name and sounds the same. I honestly don't know though.

Powerful, Workable Amp

Professional Blues Gospel Rock Classic Rock

I own an original Blues Deville 410, so I hope the reissue follows suit. The amp has that classic 410 bottom end with enough clean headroom to cut through. But, there is still that sweet saturation spot that a lot of guitarists look for. This is a loud amp, but there is a master volume so you can still work loud tones at lower volumes. The amp works well accepting pedalboards or going straight from a guitar. The reverb is lush, not quite classic Fender, but very useful. However, unless you are using the foot pedal, you cannot turn the reverb off. You can pot it down to 0, but it is not removed from the circuit. This isn't a big deal for most.
