Best clean sound ever

(4.0)

Amateur Alternative Rock Punk

I've got an American Standard Telecaster that was made in '99. It is still my go to instrument for writing riffs and, bar none, the best sounding clean instrument I've ever owned or played. I swapped out the original pickups for a set of Vintage Noiseless pickups to cut down on the hum and they have done a fabulous job. I can't speak on the newer electronics that are in the models coming out now, but I can say that the Vintage Noiseless pickups work for me. The neck on my Tele is fantastic, smooth, and easy to play. I can get almost any sound I want out of the Tele and it even sounds good when I venture into super high gain territory on my rig. There's just something about a Telecaster; there are reasons why the design has remained mostly unchanged since it came out decades ago. While I haven't gigged much recently, I'm still always changing the gear and the settings that I use on my equipment. The one thing that remains constant is my Tele. I have several other guitars and I use them for different things, but the Tele is still my go to axe.
