I ordered the Mustang and received it a couple of days ago. The packing was in excellent condition and when I opened the box the guitar looked great (I ordered Lake Placid Blue) no flaws in the paint, knobs and switches have a solid feel, the frets were smooth not sharp and the neck is awesome, very easy to play. I love the shape of the Mustang and it's lightweight body is easy on the neck and back. I was eager to plug it in and see how it sounded...this is where the problems arose... When I went to plug it in the guitar cord would not go into the jack all the way, we pulled the pickguard and metal segment which houses the pots and plug out and then the jack inserted fine. Maybe that had to do with the issues that the guitar had later, but probably not. It did not solve the big problem: the guitar has a ground issue and buzzes like crazy when you are not touching a exposed metal part of the guitar. I am pretty good with electronics and know that a constant ground needs to connect every part of the guitar's components, but I could not find out the broken link without breaking apart the connections and messing around with stuff, which I feel I should not have to do with something I just paid a bunch of money for. I am going to return it to the place I bought it. I am disapointed because last year I played the Japanese version when it came out and it was awesome. This recent purchase is the made in Mexico one and the quality of the electronics is bad.

Easy reach, I have smaller fingers and this guitar really makes playing more fun! Great tone, I have paired this Mustang I amp, just played the Star Spangled Banner. I sound just like Hendrix! ;) Excellent build quality. This is so fun, now I want a Mustang Bass!

This is a very cool guitar. I almost bought this one , it is very light weight and comfortable but the only problem was that I would sometimes hit the switches above it with my hand but not a major problem for me.
This guitar is so easy to play, especially for small hands. It is great for bending and sliding.

At first I was drawn to this Guitar by its looks as I hadn't even considered buying a Mustang. I knew almost as soon as I started playing it that I would be taking it home, feels great, plays great and the build quality is excellent.

I really can't say enough about the fit and finish of this guitar. It plays so smooth, the switching options are awesome and the looks are stunning. The made in Japan quality is extremely good. I really think these will be highly sought after instruments in the years to come.
