This is an amazing practice amp. I have had every Line 6 amp and they're good too but it just does not sound very great. This thing is far better than the others out there.
I was not a big fan of the issues the last version had, but this one is great. (They fixed the issues) I bought the Peavey Vyper series and after reading the manual that was on a disc, I realized I could not use it with active electronics. and it says it nowhere on the box. And the staff that sell these things never say anything at all... (Cause they don't know!)
If you're looking to satisfy the needs of tones and like getting more than one sound, check this little guy out. Pretty sweet for the price.

I am having a reviewing day its seems. Started about an hour ago with my new Blonde American Special tele- that I love - when it dawned on me how much other fender gear I had bought in the last few years, all of it of equally good quality and very affordable.
Modeling amps can get a lot of knocking copy from the purists. Don't listen. You can enjoy both. This is a cracking little amp. One of the best bang for bucks out there and more. With the fuse software you can get some truly amazing tones. It's easy to set up and just great fun. Cheap as chips. Looks good, solid build and believe me, capable of some real 'tonal' surprises. A truly amazing kit. Just get one and mess about- you'll love it. I bought the mini one too.

Let me start with explaining the reason for 4 stars instead of five. My main complaint is that Fender did not include a list of the presets that are already on the amp. It would have gotten five stars otherwise. I bought this figuring I could play around with different amp sounds to find what I like before investing in an $800+ professional quality amp. It delivers. If you have a choice between the V.1 and the V.2, get the V.2 since there are more compatible preset options to download(I have yet to play around with that, but see the value). My local music shop still sells the original and does not have have any of the V.2 models. My favorite default presets are the "Touch of Reverb('65 Twin)", "Bassman Drive('59 Bassman)", "Neil Deluxe('57 Deluxe)", and the "Surf Twin Reverb('65 Twin)". I play an Epiphone ES-339, and tend to focus on classic rock style sounds, so obviously I am going to prefer the more vintage sounds, but this amp can crank out just about anything you want to, and for $110(on most sites), it gives you a good introduction to more expensive Fender amps without buying something that doesn't work for you. There are also some good Vox emulations on there, if you prefer British flavor. I am not sure but there may be some emulations along the lines of Orange or Marshall amps, but I don't play hard rock, alternative, or metal, so I really can't comment much about the American style modern sounds and metal type sounds as to how good they are. One thing about this amp worth noting though, is it is a solidly built beast about twice the size of your typical practice amp and heavy to boot. This is an amp you will want to find a place for and leave it. If you need a version you can take on the go, consider buying a Mustang Mini for about $60 in addition. You will not be sorry no matter which Mustang V.2 amp you choose to buy.

Just bought this amp, and man, it is pretty good. It took me a while to figure out how to record via USB - it can be really difficult to a beginner, and you can't do much about the USB latecy which can be annoying, too. Actually you can buy a new soundcard, or whatever.
I mostly play alternative rock, post grunge - Foo Fighters. With the factory presets, you can't really nail the sound. You need to edit, or download one with FUSE. It also takes some time, and it won't sound perfect with USB recording, but it will sounds pretty good live. I would recommend it, mostly for practice, for a guy who plays guitar in a garage band, and maybe for little gigs, too, but definitely not really for serious recording - however, you can record a nice cover with it.

This little amp may very well be the best 110.00 I ever spent on guitar equip. Perhaps I can't rock a huge stadium or get the most sublime tube tones, but this thing is remarkably versatile and an incredible value.

Bought this to replace a Line 6 Spider iv 75 Watt which was more power than I need and far too complex for simply playing around in the house. The Mustang by comparison is much leaner and easier to use but don't be fooled. The lower output does not detract from the available tones (which are many) and makes even a cheap guitar sound professional (my playing not included). The Fuse software gives you the choice to add and dial in so many variations that there shouldn't be a tone you can't get near to, if you're seeking the Holy Grail ;>) For a Practice amp, and that's what it is, you could not find better. Easy to use, classic tones, upgradeable, great value and of course with the reliability of the maker, Fender. One of my better buys.

Figuring out the features of this amp took a little time, but once I found a few sounds I liked, I just stuck to those. For low volumes AKA practicing, this can't be beat. I would never gig with it, of course, but that's not really what its built for. My only complaint is that there's almost too much to play with inf terms of tones. A little overwhelming.
I have the first version of this amp. It is an excellent practice amp. It can get quite loud. The sounds are unlimited once you learn the Fender Fuse system. The community of users constantly post new settings you can download. Price-wise, it is hard to beat.

I love this amp. It takes some learning to sorta understand how all the variable controls work. The controls are not as self explanatory as you would like.
The built in tuner is excellent and super handy. The free Fender Fuse is also hard to understand but some practice gets the job done.
I bought mine cheaper from Amazon than from a guitar store ($109). This amp is a monster for the price...BUY IT SOON!!!!
