Rock Band™ 3 is asking for a microphone, but I am trying to play with my guitar controller and don’t want to be the singer.

Solution
This happens when a "stock" controller is connected to your game console and Rock Band™ 3 checks for a microphone (the controller is used to adjust the vocalist’s settings). Make sure the Squier by Fender Stratocaster Guitar and Controller is properly connected to the MadCatz® MIDI PRO-Adaptor™, and that the Mad Catz® MIDI PRO-Adapter™ is properly connected to your game console.
