I bought this little amp on an impulse. I needed something small and lightweight to take on a trip and I told the store salesman I was looking for a "throw-away" amp - something just for travel and occasional use at home. A couple of these had just arrived in stock and he pulled one out for me to try. For the short time I had to try it, I was favorably impressed with the sound and effects. But when I got it home and really had a chance to put it through the paces, I was even more impressed. I generally prefer the Tweed sound, myself, but it has a wide range of amp models, all of which are remarkably true to the real thing. And although I was not really looking for the effects, they too are well done and easy to use. The only drawback is the speaker size, but I'm willing to make that concession to weight and portability.
This amp is anything but a "throw-away." It is exactly what I was looking for, but didn't really think I could find: a great sounding little amp in a small package and at a very reasonable price.

I did not buy this thing. Not yet! But I will.
A friendly dealer let me examined it in details.
At first I thought it would start wandering around the floor, buzzing, so I put it on a rubber sheet. But no, it stood like the Statue Of Liberty, even with heavy chords.
The sound is amazing related to the size. With headphones for silent practice it is perfect! It duplicates my Mustang III.
Of course you can't use it in a cathedral....or a stadium.
But that's not what it is built fot either.
This will be my holiday amp, my bedroom amp, my kitchen amp, my cottage amp, my car amp.
And I look forward to bringing it with me in my yacht on the Oslo-fjord next summer.
With 12 volt battery-bank and an inverter. It requires only 70 watts.
.....................And my Stratocaster..............
There is a funny story of how I got this amp. I ordered the last Rumble 350 amps the guitar center had. The amp was shipped accross the country. When it arrived the lower left part of the cabinet and caster was damaged. Didn't look too bad and the amp worked perfectly and still had the warranty. The store wanted to make it right since I had prepaid the item. I asked for 100 off the amp and I would take it. I was playing a Tele and Jazzmaster through this champion 20. While I was waiting for word on the Rumble. I liked the champion very much. Nice effects and for a small amp it had great tone. Then I had a brainstorm. I took the champion to the counter. I said if you give me the champion 20 I will call it good on the Rumble. They agreed.
The Champion 20 is a great practice amp. I love it, works great with my Telecasters. Great amp to take on trips. Small and versitle and takes up little trunk space.
Great amp and I am happy with it and my rumble 350
