Love the box. Tough as nails. Sounds great. Control layout intuitive while playing and easy to tweak presets on the device. The only reason I would not buy this product again is the software. It is obvious that Fender dumped a lot of time into making it look 'cool', but it is practically unusable. For example, you cannot do something as simple as re-order the presets by dragging them and dropping them. I had to write my own software to do that. Having been away from the manual for a while, I went back this morning to overwrite some presets and cannot figure out how to do it intuitively. This product would be 5 stars all the way of Fender would dump the Silverlight graphic interface and give me something that is quick, simple and intuitive.

I have had this unit for about six months now and I like the features it provides. The unit is all metal construction and the buttons are heavy duty, unlike some other units like this. The amp models and effects are really good as well. I have been playing around with rolling back the volume on the guitar to clean up the tone and it works pretty well on most of the amp models. There are two issue that are bugging me about the mustang floor. One is when I set up an effects chain with the wah effect, when I engage it I lose a little bit of volume. Two, the gain from the USB port is not set at the same level across all presets. You have to go in to each preset and set the USB gain level. This not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be a little annoying to do it for each "preset". All and all this a very well built unit with a lot of features. Well worth the street price you can pick this thing up for.

I researched a few floor units before going with the Mustang. It's really easy to get up and running with this effects unit and it has a lot of features. There aren't as many sounds, etc as some of the competitors, but that's ok. There's enough to work with to get a variety of clean/OD/distortion settings that sound really good. Easy to edit on the fly. I'm looking forward to USB-ing it to my computer and possibly adding the expression pedal at some point. Great addition to the arsenal!
