First of all I'd like to apologize for my English, I'm not a native speaker.
Taking into consideration that I'm a lefty, I'm very restricted in different things and the musical instruments aren't an exception. The choice of a bass guitar is just like the choice of the girl with whom you're ready to create a family and spend all life long.
My first bass was Schecter, however I felt that it wasn't my stuff. Then I tried the P Bass and I did really fall in love with it! Everything is perfect here: the classical design, the comfortable neck, the rich sound and, certainly, the fact that it was the first popular electric bass in the history - all that made me a loyal customer of Fender's Precision Bass.
When I got this bass I had to modify it by additional shielding the pickup's cavity and grounding the magnets by the aluminum foil to avoid unpleasant clicks while touching the open strings (G and D especially), however that ABSOLUTELY didn't affect my 100% positive impression I got from playing this bass. I can't imagine myself holding a different guitar.
Furthermore, I gave this bass to the specialist to defret it and now I'm happy owner of a rare left-handed fretless bass! And I must say it's something godlike! I discovered a new field to explore where I could develop myself and thus enlarge my outlook.
So, my kind piece of advice is: if you buy the P Bass, you won't regret doing that! Enjoy it, guys!
