Great guitar for a great price!

I own the 2012 CD-60 cutaway model. It delivers a beautiful tone plugged and unplugged (though plugged is the way to go with this guitar). Everything is carefully made except for the frets and hardware (i would highlight the goo job with the neck).
As the title says, is the best sound you can get at a cheap value.

Best Acoustic-Electric for the buck, PERIOD!

This model was a FSR (Fender Special Run) model for the year 2011, so it's bitter-sweet to see it back because it now makes my 2011 model not so unique. But luckily, Fender knows a winner when they build one, and this guitar delivers! Playability is silky smooth, this is a very easy to play acoustic thanks to that nice neck. The fretwork is good, and action was a bit high, but that was easily fixed. The guitar is also a looker, with that nice dark mahogany grain, she looks and feels like a much more expensive instrument. Now to the tone, she sounds beautiful, and packs some volume too! I haven't plugged her in a good acoustic amp, so can't say much about that, but the tuner is a very nice feature! Easy to read, and it also bypasses the pre-amp when you use it which should be very useful in a live performance situation.

Only flaws are the obviously cheap hardware, and my frets are already showing signs of wear after about a year of use. There's some dimples on the first three frets because I do a lot of open chord strumming with this guitar, but I do play her a whole lot.

Yes it has a laminated top, and many get all hung up about that, but this is after all a $300 (or less!) acoustic-electric guitar that includes a HARD CASE! So, laminated top or not, this guitar sounds, and plays great. Nothing comes close at this price. Nothing.
