This is the first guitar I have bought for myself, and it's been years since I played. I'm starting over, in other words. I spent a lot of time online doing my homework to find the best quality for the lowest price (because this is all just for my own pleasure). Then I went into a local Music & Arts store to try out a few. I was thinking about the Ibanez acoustic/electric in the $200 range, but they were out of all Ibanez guitars. The salesperson showed me a Yamaha, but I wasn't really interested in a plain old starter guitar. It needed pizzazz. So I tried the Jasmin (by Takamine), and it was okay, but the action was stiff. Sounded good, though. Then I picked up the beautiful, shiny black Fender off the wall. Listed at $229, it was slightly over budget, but still in spitting distance. What a sweet, sweet sound it has! I strummed and hummed and played the chords I remembered. The action is almost perfect (though I plan a pro setup to get it even better). I couldn't get over the beautiful sound of this baby, though, so I asked for (and got) a discount, putting her right in my budget. Even better? She came with her own hardshell case.
What could be better? You won't regret purchasing this guitar. Just lovely in every way!

I bought this guitar for everyday practice and songwriting. It's a low budget guitar so I didn't expect such a great sound. I'm a semi-professional singer, songwriter and musician so I'm attached to amplified acoustic guitars and this one is special cause it's the only one without pre-amp. Just a piece of hard wood and 6 stings stretched across it. Nice finish and features and also it's good to have a mahogany instead of sapele for that price. It's very though and durable and I love the fact that it can go anywhere with me. Nothing could harm it, neither the sea salt or campfire heat. It's just perfect. There's a very big tonal difference between this and my TPD-1CE lol but as I said, every guitar has it's purpose. Some are for big concerts, some for gigin' and some just for hanging around and enjoying the music at any place, anytime. It's not Martin HD-28 but neither it wants to be. I love it and feel so comfortable with it hangin' on my back. Some people would say it's cheap and it's not valuable cuz of low price..so what, Martin would make the same thing and sell it to some stupid for 3x more $. Fender acoustic guitars offers the most for it's price. Don't make me start comparing Fender 'Royal-class' acoustics with Martin's flagships, cause they would blow them away in every way. Cheers. At 47 years old I decided to take up guitar and wanted a cheap acoustic to start practicing on. At £100GBP, this guitar was well within budget, and sounded good. The action was a little too high for me personally on purchase, but with some slight adjustments, and a new bone saddle, everything settled down nicely. I've been really happy with this product, and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone, young or old, who wants a good quality entry level guitar.

This is my first guitar ever. It's very easy to play and I like the sound of it. I've heard that Fender made good guitars and now I know first hand that they do.

This guitar has many qualities. First of all, it can stay tuned perfectly for weeks. The tone is also great, it sounds like old western guitar. I have to say that the features are amazing for that price. The top wood(spruce) is beautiful, the colors are great with the mahogany back. Plus, with those kind of features, the price seems to be acceptable. I recommend it!
When I went to the music store to look at guitars that were within my $300 price range, I was surprised to see a guitar under my budget that included a case and did not sound terrible. The CD-60 was available in three colours and included a hard case. This guitar holds up well, has a no-nonsense design, stays in tune, sounds good for the price, looks good, is easy to play, has decent action, and overall had no defects. This guitar sounds better than a few of the other, more expensive guitars that I tried out. The only thing that I wish were different is that the sound is a little too "bright" for my taste, but this will likely be fixed once I change the strings on it. The strings are also pretty good.

This guitar is so easy to play. I have been playing for 5 years and I bought this one because it was a fender and it was cheap. I was a newbie and didn't know so much but it caught my eye. This guitar has got that one special thing that makes every song magical, the sound is so good and deep. Everyone who played on it felt that the cd-60 was so much better then theirs. I reccomend this guitar for everyone, newbies to experts.

When i got this guitar it was great i was playing in lots of hot humid areas and very cold dry places it didnt need much adjustment but the low e string tuner stripped out and since they are sealed tuners they need replaced not just a quick gear change

The CD-60 is an excellent acoustic for anyone from beginner to expert guitar players. The playability is great, mine came already set up, which I had though it wouldn't, but the action, intonation, and frets were perfect out of the case. This guitar sounds great! I recommend this to anyone looking for a good value acoustic guitar for the money.

After 7 years of a guitar playing break, I wanted to get back and CD-60 was a last-hit for me.
But strings were replaced with Fender 10-48 right in the music shop :D Its just make CD-60 more yummy for me.
At the end of the day: awesome sound (this is my first guitar which sounds louder than me :D), outstanding price and great design.

Picked up this guitar in Oct. 2012 and I was surprised. For $150, this is a great guitar! I got it beacause I wanted a new acoustic but didnt feel the need to spend more than $300. This guy caught my eye and I tryed it out. It sounds really bright, especially if new strings are on it. Set up was really nice on it. Haven't expierenced any problems with it. The black finish looks super rad as well. Definitely go for this guitar! Hard to beat for the value!

I've had this instrument for about three years now, and I play it almost every night. With the right strings, it can sound great. I've played extremely expensive acoustics from other big names, and they really don't stand up to the projection, tone and value of this guitar.

I have just started playing guitar, after my parents brought this for me after hours of begging, and this put a real smile on my face. It has a great sound, which really helps when learning as it keeps your confidence up, and is affordable.
I have the black, with the pearl finish, and it looks amazing.

I got this guitar back in 2010 and it was when I started playing guitar again after a 10 year (!) break. I have it in sunburst finish and the gloss shines like the 1st day I got it. It has great looks, stays in tune and sounds very nice for its price. I highly recommend it to people who want to learn how to play guitar without spending a fortune!

I bought this guitar because I wanted an entry-level acoustic to get back into playing, but decided to go with the Fender name as well. I purchased it online so had no chance to examine it beforehand. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of design and finish for a guitar of this price. It looks really nice, has a good action, and best of all sounds great. (At least at great as I can make it sound)
When the time comes to upgrade, I will definitely look into the Fender family again.
By the way, I got the sunburst, and it is a real stunner. Shines like a jewel!!
