Celebrate 50 years of Fender’s most distinctive guitar model with the Special Edition Jaguar Thinline, which presents an elegant new take on the model. Most notably, it features a semi-hollow alder body with ash top and back, binding and f hole - the boldest design departure ever for a Jaguar.
Other specialized features include a bound modern “C” shaped maple neck with bone nut, classic Jaguar scale length (24"), 7.25"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets, vintage-style single-coil Jaguar pickups with individual on/off slide switches, two-position tone switch, separate volume and tone controls for both circuits (rhythm and lead), and vintage-style floating tremolo with lock button.

I got this as my third Jaguar, because I could get it second hand at a good price, and because of the special hollow body design. It looks absolutely stunning with the binding on the body and neck and the sound is definitely refreshing. The hollow body makes it prone to feedback, but in a controlled environment like a studio it will get you some very nice tones.

I've played this guitar and thought it was very cool. It looked and played awesome but the price was sort of too high($1500), not that it's not worth the price. Solid guitar (8.5/10)
I'VE OWNED THIS JAG FOR NEARLY A YEAR NOW AND AM STILL WONDERING IF I LOVE IT OR NOT.
PLUS POINTS: THE SEMI HOLLOW BODY, GREAT TREMOLO, NICE BLACK FINISH
MINUS POINTS: THE BRIDGE SADDLES CERTAINLY DO NOT HOLD GREATER GAUGE STRINGS THAN .009. THIS WAS CORRECTED BY FILING DOWN THE LEADS
THE STRINGS PROVIDED ARE MUCH TOO LIGHT SO I UPGRADED TO .012 CHANGING THE SOUND IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION.
THE PUPS COULD HAVE BEEN WAX TREATED
ACCESS TO THE TRUSS ROD IS TERRIBLE SO SETTING UP THE GUITAR IS A BIT OF A PAIN
NO CASE INCLUDED NOR ANY KIND OF MANUAL AND THAT FOR A SPECIAL EDITION
CONCLUSION: I BOUGHT THIS GUITAR IN GERMANY THROUGH THOMANN AND AM VERY CONTENT WITH THE OVERALL FINISH OF THIS JAPANESE MADE FENDER. ON THE SOUND PART SHE TENDS TO BE A BIT LIMITED IN USE BRIDGE PUP IS VERY SHARP BUT BRIDGE AND NECK TOGETHER ARE VERY USEABLE AS LONG AS ONE DOESN'T GO TO LOUD. THIS GUITAR HAS THE TENDENCY TO START FEEDBACKING VERY QUICKLY SO FOR ME SHE IS EXCLUDED FOR LIVE USAGE. THE NECK PICKUP GIVES NICE MELLOW TONES.
A BIT OVERPRICED IF YOU ASK ME, THE SOLID CASE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
