The Fender Hall of Fame is dedicated to those upon whose shoulders successive generations of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) stand.
To honor and keep the memories of Fender® innovators, former leaders, iconic Fender artists and associates fresh in our minds
To inspire those of us who follow in their footsteps
To differentiate Fender from all others
Fender employee nominees must be retired. Their service to the company should stand as a beacon of excellence beyond the conventional. A job well done and longevity are not enough. Being a model employee is just that and carries its own rewards.
Fender artists and associates must have created a universally-influential and lasting legacy, which helped establish, substantiate and ultimately elevate the Fender brand to its current status as a worldwide leader in the music industry.
A Hall of Fame inductee stands out and towers above even the best, most devoted Fender employees, artists and associates.
An autonomous committee consisting of historians/experts (Richard McDonald, John Peden, Richard Smith, Tom Wheeler) met and reviewed the careers of people who have been recommended or are known, likely candidates. These candidates were vetted and then put forth to FMIC management for selection.
