The Standard Telecaster Swirl model looks and sounds out of this world, with one of the most vividly arresting looks a Telecaster has ever had—a swirling, multi-colored marbled finish that looks like something from another planet.
Each Standard Telecaster Swirl body undergoes a unique finishing process, resulting in a design that is as random and one-of-a-kind as a thumbprint—simply put, no two are the same!
Features include an alder body, maple neck with "modern C" profile and satin urethane back finish, 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, dual single-coil pickups with three-way switching, three-ply black-white-black pickguard and knurled flat-top control knobs, and a string-through-body bridge with six block saddles.

I'll be honest I bought this for the looks, but when I started playing it I knew it was the right guitar for me. The clean tone on this guitar is exactly whet you expect from a Tele. It's crisp, clear and rings like a bell. However, I'm thinking about getting some hotter single coils to put in this guitar, because distortion is not that great with the pickups it comes with. The playability on the neck is excellent. The profile is comfortable and the maple fingerboard is a breeze to slide up and down on. And obviously the swirl finish looks great and I love the fact that no one else owns a guitar that looks like it. Great job Fender!

About 4 days ago, I finally got this swirl telecaster. I'm so happy I have one because it was the very last one available in my country. I just love the look of the guitar the swirl is so unique and gives the guitar so much character! I also love how the guitar feels, the neck is just awesome (super smooth on the back) and I really like that laquer finish on the front! The volume pots are also very acurate.. It just does what a telecaster should do.The pickups maybe could be a little tiny bit hotter. But overall. It's just a great workhorse. Can't stop playing it!

Ok,its just a standard tele right?
The finish does matter and up close its MARMITE, not convincing others that they will like it if they don't, but it sure does turn heads. One guy in the shop tried to buy it as i was walking with it towards the counter. This particular one had been couriered from London to Scotland as they sold that fast. The one i got does look dipped, some of them seem "dragged".
Slightly disappointed by the bridge pick up, expected something with more tweak but can get that sorted.
This is my first "real" Fender from new, and I'm just very excited

An excellent addition to the Fender FSR stable, the swirl telecaster has a unique finish, no two guitars are the same. A very playable guitars the neck with its satin finished back plays very well, easy to move up and down the neck. The fingerboard is a joy to play. The pick ups could be a little meatier but they are the usual fare on the Mexican made standards, some reviews say the are hot tele pups but I believe they are standard single coils. Overall 5 stars an excellent guitar.
