Reclaimed Eastern Pine Stratocaster®, Rosewood Fingerboard, Dark Stain

More about Reclaimed Eastern Pine Stratocaster®

Fender’s special edition Reclaimed Eastern Pine Stratocaster has a distinctively rustic look and elegant charm, with a body fashioned from reclaimed pine originally used in 1868 in the construction of a dairy barn in the small rural community of Lake Odessa, Mich. The knots, gashes, dings and other anomalies in the wood are left intact and unconcealed, so that no two guitars in this limited-number issue are identical.

Further emphasizing the guitar’s one-of-a-kind appearance are a dark satin lacquer stain that accentuates the beauty of the body wood, hardware specially treated to appear slightly worn, and a rosewood neck with a hand-rubbed oil finish and comfortable
“modern C”-shaped profile. Other features include a 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, three Fender Custom Shop Fat ’50s single-coil Stratocaster pickups with five-way switching, “unbuffed” single-ply black pickguard, two-point synchronized tremolo bridge with vintage-style stamped steel saddles, Micro-Tilt™ neck adjustment, laser-etched headstock logo and more. Hard-shell case, strap, cable and polishing cloth included.

Great history, nice looking and feeling body, stunning rosewood neck which feels great, all the nice sounds from the 50's custom shop pickups - this is really a great, great strat for a "reasonable" price! The rosewood neck is one of the best I have ever seen in shape and feel and it gives a good, rather dark tone with a lot of sustain - definitely a good buy for strat fans who look for the special one!
