Pawn Shop Series guitars are inspired by the more eccentric Fender creations of the mid-'60s to mid-'70s, which sometimes found their way to the outside world and into the more esoteric pages of Fender history. Crafted for thoroughly modern sound and quality, they present a creative alchemy of diverse Fender elements. New for 2012, the Pawn Shop Series introduces an unconventional new assortment of "guitars that never were but should have been."
The Pawn Shop Jaguarillo guitar hot-rods traditional Jaguar® design through the roof with a scorching HSS configuration in which all three pickups - two standard Stratocaster® single-coils and an Atomic™ humbucking bridge pickup - are angled for enhanced bass and treble response. Other unusual touches include a streamlined control layout (volume knob, tone knob and five-way blade pickup switch) and an Adjusto-Matic™ bridge with vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece. This is no ordinary Jaguar.

First, I never give 5's. I always leave room for the impossible perfect guitar. I bought this on sale. I was not optimistic, and planned to replace all pickups. I also assumed I would have to pay my Tech for a complete set-up, as with some of my other new Fenders.
The guitar arrived with a good set-up. The finish is impeccable, as good as my new American Jag. The neck and action are very nice. I owned a '60s era Mustang and bought a newer reissue. I also own several Jags and Jazzmasters. This guitar compares favorably with all. It certainly does not have a traditional Jag sound, but it is versatile. It has a sound between a Strat, a Tele, and Jag. Rock, Blues and almost Surf. Clean is acceptable, but it is best with overdrive/distortion. Of course, it is not a metal guitar. I am afraid to change anything. I do not want to lose any of the tone or action. This guitar is unique and excellent. I have not gigged with it yet, but I am sure it will perform well. One of my best Mexican guitars. Better than some of my American Fenders. Good value.

I've wanted a Jaguar since I first heard Kurt Cobain playing one. I've been intrigued by the Pawn Shop Series since it came out. First of all the Jaguarillo looks so cool with 3 slanted pickups. When I played it, I knew it would be mine. I love the Atomic humbucker, and the Strat pickups are great. I didn't think this guitar could get any better: then I swapped out the middle pickup for a Texas Special. Now I can use that pickup in combination with either of the others. Perfecto!!!

For years I have always been on the lookout for a humbucker 2 single coil configuration on a guitar with a 5 way switch with no Floyd trem or a volume knob in the way of my pinky finger. As soon as I discovered this guitar, I couldn't buy one fast enough!! Great easy guitar to play and set up. I play rock from the 60's, 70's , 80's, Classic rock to Metal and this guitar does great with it all. Very comfortable to play. Very easy transition from my other guitars (from a different company) to the Fender Jaguar Jaguarillo. Very excellent sustain. Holds notes forever. This guitar just keeps surprising me in a positive way. I will never sell this guitar!!!

This has been my go-to guitar since it first came out. Plays extremely well and feels like a vastly upgraded standard Jaguar. The tone is simply fantastic and suits my personal tastes perfectly.
